What's up, January?!

Hi everyone! I thought I'd do a little post on what we've been up to this month. I haven't been feeling super great, but I'm seeing a new doctor and she's put me on some new medications, so I'm hoping to feel better soon:) Meanwhile, Scott has a few major projects on the go- like building a model railroad and writing his thesis so he can get his Masters in Biblical Studies this spring- yay!! Other than that we've been trying to stay active despite the weather and Emily has started up Pre School again 2 afternoons a week which she loves (and so do I- Owen naps when she's at school- it's such a mommy treat!). We took a trip to St John to meet Scott's friend Steve and see his model railroad (it's quite large and the scenery is beautifully done to suit the 60's era). Then we went to our friends Darren and Maurica's on the way home and had a great time visiting with friends, and the kids had a blast playing with each other. So here are some pics for ya:)

Building towers of lego
Emily's tower and Sweetpea, who is never too far away...
2 of 3 tables Scott made for his train to sit on

So cute.  Playing in the snow and "eating popcorn", they tell me.
Our friend Trevor entertains the kiddies with his I Pad:)
Sarah knits- I think it's a head scarf thing for me-yay!
Steve's model railroad, these are all pics of the villages, etc around the train track:
I love this!  So sweet, and creative!
Here she comes!
How we entertained the kids long enough to get a good look at the train - it's on a shelf on the wall above their heads.
Scott and Steve.  It's funny, because whenever people get Scott's name wrong, they call him Steve...does the opposite thing happen to Steve?
A resort village in miniature.
Me and Maurica!
So happy to see some out of town friends!
OK.  So here's the kids being hilarious.  Rebecca is "straightening" Emily's hair here.
Owen tried to get in on the hairdressing action, but Emily wasn't having it.
The kiddie table- that's Maria with the red hair- they have 2 sweet kids:)
Then they put on a fashion show for us- parading around the kitchen in their dresses:)
Winter.  This sky was actually a really warm, glowing color, but I didn't capture it.
Scott working on his thesis!!
Look closely- this is what happens when Scott falls asleep at the computer- hehe:)

Great pics Dee!! I miss seeing you on facebook. Judy had mentioned the trains...I had no idea the detail that went into them. Hope you're feeling better soon :) Darrell and I are off on a cruise (kidless!!) this Friday.
