Autumn in McAdam

Just some pics to keep you "posted" on what our days are like here! Today was like 20 degrees out, so me and Em were able to go for a walk and she could finally wear this summer outfit because it fits her now and it was warm enough today, yeah! (Thank you Barry and Alice!) Anyways, not much happening at the moment, just settling into fall...and Emily's eating rice cereal now! We thought it was time when she was super interested in our food and watched us eat every bite of food- she loves it and opens her mouth like a little bird- it is sooo cute, you grandparents are gonna love it!

She always finds something to chew on!:)

Watching the trees, she's fascinated by trees and leaves

I LOVE this picture!

She's folded in half!

Sweet face

Killer smile:)

She's getting longer!

Our Summer Vacation

Hi everyone! We just got back from spending a great 3 weeks vacation in NS- we decided to take almost all our vaca time together so we could really see people...and we did see lots of people!! Thanks to everyone for coming out to Lake Echo to visit us and to Mama and Papa Kohler for having multiple BBQs for us and all our friends!

Emily has grown so much- last weekend on Aug 19th she turned 4 months old! She's not yet rolling over but can roll onto her side. She makes a ton of noise- lots of cooing and when she's angry she can scream- but that doesn't happen very often:) She weighs 13lbs 6ozs and is in the 50th percentile (she's average for her size and weight). She can now reach out and grasp objects, like toys, Scott's glasses, my face and hair when we're playing on the floor, and she sucks on everything and anything now- especially receiving blankets...which I think is super cute and Scott makes fun of me for saying when she does that "Oh! She looks like a REAL baby!"...but she does!! Anyways, seriously, isn't she so cute? She's adorable, and really good, too-
On our vacation she was sleeping 7-8 hours between feedings at night and NOW (I'm delighted to tell you) she has been sleeping for 12 hours stright the last 3 nights!! Yeah!!!! (We had a couple of rough nights first, but then she got right into the swing of sleeping thru the night! Yeah!) Now we're working on nap times...she's a serious cat-napper, though, or HAS been and has now just started having 30min-1hr naps in the days...which means mommy gets to nap, too:)

One of the first days we were in NS we had a BBQ with some of our friends and their kids from Lake Echo Church (where Scott's dad is pastor)- which was so nice. I got some great shots of our friend's kids, too- they're all so cute!

So here's some pics to start you off- they'll be more to come...this post will probably happen in 3 installments to get all the pics on here, enjoy! These next 5 pics are beautiful photos that Papa Kohler took:
