July in McAdam

Here's what happened in July (a break from the Vancouver blogging- had to catch up!:) :

We had a very special visit this summer. My former pastor and friends Don and Martie Salmans came to Harvey to meet our family! It was lovely to see them and catch up:)
(They were in Fredericton for a wedding)
Their son, also my friend, Chris, came, too- with his expecting wife, Amy!
How things change over time:) They are both very lucky to have each other:)

The whole crew sans me

Our friend John (Alicia's husband) painted our room for us. Seriously, he was bored and asked if we needed a room painted, so we were very thankful- and now our room has more life and color:) Thanks John!
Hanging with Anya (and baby Trin)
We also had DVBS this month, and 2 young guys, Alec and Ron, from Parsborough came up to run the program. DVBS went great and we made 2 new friends:)

As always in the summer, we made a trip up to Archie and Maddie's camp:)
Owen at the camp

Hi- it's me with highlights.
Owen's newest trick- there is a mattress below him, so don't worry:)
Cool shot of Alicia
Look very closely to see Alicia on the front steps of the church- doing her nails.
I had to laugh at this one:):)
My "insta-friend", Alicia- who has now moved to NS and I miss her terribly.
Sara and Molly and Matt came for a visit on Canada Day:)
Connor (Alicia's youngest), eating wild strawberries growing on our lawn.
Strawberries!
Alicia learns to forage for her food:)
Emily feeds Connor more strawberries (cute:)

Vancouver July/Aug 2011 (Part 3)

Hi everyone! We (me and Scott- Scott's parents took the kids for the week-yay!!) just returned with Nanny from an awesome trip to see my sis and visit some friends in Vancouver! Here are some of my fave pics. There's a lot and they take a long time to upload, so I'll do this post in 3 parts, starting with part 3 and going backwards. Thanks for visiting our family blog!

Me and Tara after a yogi class on Granville Island
Granville Market
Oh you know, just driving around, and there are some mountains.
On Sunday we went to Tony's church (also our previous professor of theology at Acadia and friend- Jonathan Wilson's church) and they had an awesome service.
It was great to be with Christians on the West coast!
Tony!!

After church we had a lunch and visit at Jonathan's which was so nice. Scott also went to breakfast with him to talk more during the week. We felt so blessed to see him and give him a big hug!
Me and Jonathan at his office at Carey Theological College.
Then we went to visit Hannah and her
fiance Brandon at their place in New Westminster.
We all went for coffee and took a walk by the water and Hannah said this guy would be her perfect man since he's so tall:) hehe

One day Tara and I water marbled our nails on her deck- it looks so neat!
(mine in the centre)

See? Cool nails.
Hanging out in Gastown and getting some soveniers.
(OK spell check, I really don't know how to spell that word.)

My beautiful sister in Gastown.
I thought this was really funny.
I seemed to be the only one.
Tara and I picking some of the million and one blackberries
