Our new baby boy!

Owen Andrew Kohler was born this morning at 3:12 am. He weighed 8 lbs 3 oz. Mom and Baby are both doing well, recovering from the brief (3+ hours) but intense ordeal of labour! I'm home getting a little rest and Mom is here with Emily while I update our blog and facebook accounts. Here are a few pictures:

Remember last time? They weren't taking any risks with rashes. So far so good...

Emily and her rooster sounds:)

With no shirt on, we always say she looks like a little Tom Sawyer:)
She loves her sippy cup:)
I love that hair and that smile:)
It's all so funny...:)
Stripping the wallpaper in the spare room- it was fun "trying to send myself into labour" work:)

Emily doing her "rooster" sound (cock-a-doodle-doo)- it's the coolest sound, we can't even imitate it!

Emily's Very First Haircut:)

Shaggy Girl in the Morning

Getting on her kiddie-cape:) Her head looked so small:)
She wasn't scared or shy or anything- very brave!
He we are with her first hairdresser ever:)
Video of her first haircut!!

This morning- much better- much less disheveled looking:)
I think she's happy about the cut:)

My hubby and his electric guitar- he's so handsome- I love this pic:)

Emily Stacking and Knocking Down Baby Food-

Mom and Dave's Visit and More!

We've had a lot of company lately and emily's been doing some funny things- so we thought it was time for an update!:)

Mom and Dave came to visit for 2 days on their way from FL to Hfx last week and of course Emily got lots of attention from them!:)
Emily and Nana
Trying out some headphones they brought:)

Mine and Tony's Sunday school class (Andrea came later) over for a movie night
(Emily joined us until it was her bedtime:)

Emily loves to read- she will bring a bunch of books over and then come up on the couch to be read to- today she wanted to face me to listen to the story- she is so precious:)
PS-note my big belly:)

We have been so blessed that my friend Buffy from Halifax and her hubby Terry have moved to fredericton- only an hour away- so finally we had them out to our place and it was so great to hang out- and especially to jam with them as we all play something (they both have music degrees:) and sing!

Buffy let Emily try out her violin- and she was fascinated, as was I, when Terry turned his IPhone into a shaker! Who knew it could do so much?- weird...:)
Me- I be jammin'
Oooo- yeah, so I wanted to get a pedicure before the baby came- but I did that early and then had enough saved up get a french manicure, too- woohoo! So fun...:)
Emily put this gift bag on her head and not only did it look so hilarious- like a crown of some kind- but she purposely would pull it down over her eyes and try and walk around, not being able to see...so funny:)
Emily at our once a week Play Group put on by an organization in Fredericton here in McAdam. It's so neat to see how Emily responds to organized activities- she's too young to follow much of the program- but she knows she loves snack time!! Look at her sitting in her chair like a big girl:)
She was sitting on this thing and observing the chaos for like 10 minutes- so cute- she loves ride on toys:)
Sometimes if you give her a pillow and she's tired, she'll just lay right down on it and me and Scott find this so adorable:)
Also funny is what she did with a diaper the other day- (a clean one- no worries:), by making into a bonnet:)

Daddy making an apple pie (he's quite a baker! I'm lucky:) and Emily watching- shortly after this photo she tried to crawl around on the island (she usually knows to stay still when she's up there as a privilege) and was removed from the premesis- and the pie was very, very yummy:)
My newest scrapbook page about Emily's unfortunate incident with a light bulb- I'm really happy with it...the page- not the incident:)

Daddy and Dino
What a cute Dino face:)

Saying hi to auntie Judy- a lady from our church:)

Everyone loved seeing a cute dinosaur on the run:)

Listen at the end for the "an hour wouldn't do" comment from one of the ladies:)
