New Scrap Pages-Europe '01

Hello everyone! We are anxiously expecting baby anytime now- but meanwhile please pray for us as we deal with numerous non-descript aches and pains, akwardness and irritability...:) Other than that I am feeling pretty good and the doctor today said I'm more effaced than last time, so that means things ARE progressing, no matter how slowly:)

Here are some scrap pages I've recently finished, hope you enjoy them!:

"Larger than life"- visiting different structures in Rome

I love Bubbled letters and if you have black stickers,
just make them "bubbled" by putting
a clear page pebble over the sticker
I really went crazy with my embossing pen and white embossing powder on this page, but I like it, and Miranda and I thought this color combo worked and I think it does, so yeah! All the dots are just done by freestyle, and the title is Heidi rub-ons in white.
Sorry so blurry, I got this 3 in one idea from Miranda!
All the writing is done by hand with my embossing pen and powder- it was fun to see my own writing turn into white shiny letters!
Stamps and handwriting for this one, and a pop dot to raise it up (the edges are also clear inked and then white embossed).

PS- If anyone knows my lovely sister, Tara, and wants to see her strutt her stuff salsa dancing, check out this website!:

(She's in any of the posts that say "tara" and also in the "footwork" posts, they are short video files so give each one a minute or two to download:).

Scrap Happy!

As many of you know- scrapbooking is my favorite hobby, and I share that with many girlfriends- it's great to scrap with someone else because it's motivating and inspiring, and you can get feedback from your ideas right away! Anyways, Miranda came over tonight and got a start on her california trip album.

I couldn't sleep last night until 3am-It was unreal- so I came downstairs and started on this page which I finished tonight with Miranda- it's of the same beach day at Sperlonga beach near Rome which I scrapped last time- this is page 2 of that day:) I really love seeing other people's pages that they post- keep it up scrappers!!:)

Second Page of Sperlonga
So I discovered you can write with a Zig writer on photos- it needs some time to dry, but don't rub it and you're good to go. Also- it lets you see the pic better than vellum and I love the clear water in this picture!
Miranda tracing cardboard letters to use on her page!

Stephie and Scrappy

Yeah for March Break! Since Steph and I are both off this week from school, she decided to come from Miramichi and stay overnight with us here in McAdam! It was a short visit as I got mixed up and thought she was staying for 2 days instead of one (prego-brain takes the blame!), but so AWESOME to see Steph and be able to hang out and show her around our town a little! Yesterday I met up with her and her cousin Shauna who lives in Freddy, and we got to visit a little so that was really nice. Shauna had 2 extra kidlets she was watching as well as her own so she was a busy momma- and steph a busy aunt! And me, well I just kept telling the same one to sit down in the shopping cart:) Then we dropped by Shauna's beautiful home which is only about 40 minutes from us!

Last night Miranda came over and met Steph and we looked at her LA pics and Steph's wedding scrapbook- it's always fun collaborating ideas for scrapping...anyways, later this evening I felt inspired to finish a page from my Europe trip 2001 when we visited a beach near Rome called Sperlonga. Scott helped me with some ideas and then I went nuts on it- I'm tired now from seaching for shells I knew I had stored in the house somewhere and wanted to use on this page! Anyways, here are some pics:)

Yeah for girl time! (Thanks for taking pictures Scottie:):)

Sperlonga Page

I used a lot of chalk on this page to get the letter colors just right and make the Vellum show up better.

Journaling- the end says "a beautiful small town and beach right on the Med(diteranean Sea)."

A Scrap Page!

Hey there (especially my scrapbook girls)- here is a page I just completed- except for journaling, which I will do (Christine!:). All this talk about scrapping got me motivated to do it. Also- Scott and I went for dinner to a friend's house the other night and the wife is an avid (and very good:) scrapper. I was so impressed that I took pics of my favorite pages! (Of course I can't post someone else's work without their permission, but when I need some inspiration, now all I have to do is look on the computer at her pages! Anyways, this page is from when Danielle, Rachel, Jen and I went to the louvre, Paris, 2001. We didn't actually go IN, but this time when Scott and I went we spent a 3 hour morning there. We took a break and then went back for more, but when Scott's backpack went thru the security machine water started pouring all over the floor! His waterbottle had leaked and suddenly the security lady was calling for "cleaning back-up" in french. That's when we decided to skip the second trip to the Louvre, and do something else:).

The true color is better in the first pic (no flash), but the 2nd pic is a bit clearer (with flash).

Weekend at Steph's

Last weekend, after church on sunday, Scott and I drove 3 hours to Miramichi to visit my good friend Steph and hubby Matt! We had a great time with them- catching up on church stuff, talking about traveling and playing Dutchie! Steph made a VERY yummy Lasagna for us! We spent the night and the next day we went exploring all over Miramichi/Newcastle and visited Matt at work. It was really cool to see what they work on there- thanks Matto! We also went to s scrapbook store which inspired us to do some scrapping when we got home! Steph- I included the done page here so you can see it all done. Hope it's not too long before we see you guys again, thanks for having us, love ya!

Scrappin' it up

Scrapbooking is one of my favorite hobbies- all thru my first trimester I felt pretty gross, and not much like myself- including not wanting to scrapbook. But one of the indicators that I'm feeling better is that, yep, I'm wanting to scrapbook again! I hope the feeling lasts! Here is the page I started at Steph's- and then a homemade stamp I made with an exacto knife and eraser- big money saver!! Yeah!!

How it works!

My new Tree Stamp- cut out of an eraser- and how it looks on paper-cool!

Anyone can make one! It's fun- you should try it!
