May-June in McAdam

Our old couch. We were really ready to get a new one- it was in pretty bad shape-
very stained and uncomfortable.

Ta-da!!! Our new sectional couch with a pull out bed!
The first piece of furniture we've bought together:)
It's big- great for everyone to come over and watch a movie with us!

Containment.
The Blur known as Emily.
She dressed herself.

Watching our favorite show- Friday Night Lights- married for 4 years, June 18- it just keeps getting better and better:) I'm so thankful for my loving hubby:)
When he's fussy, this is how I get things done- thanks, Sarah- now to buy one of our own...:)
Just doing their own thing up on mommy and daddy's bed.
My girlfriend Andrea and her dad at the Grand March- she was seriously radiant:)
Beautiful.
Emmy outside in the backyard.
Owen in the backyard trying his first cookie EVER! It was so cute- he liked it, but kept dropping it on our picnic blanket and then it was just all mushy and gross:)
Owey and his playspace on the new couch- closely supervised, don't worry:)
Owey and his "purty eyes" as Emily says:) Look at that smile- no teeth yet.
I always have a project (and a tea) on the go in the evenings:)
We don't know what she's doing, but it sure is funny:)
Me and our naked ones- I love them in just their diapees!

We had the opportunity to go to Green Hill Lake Bible Camp for a family weekend in June and it was...interesting- all of us in the same room and families next door with hardly any barrier- it was very tricky, and Owen had a fever to boot. But it is a beautiful place and the staff and facilities are great.
One funny thing that happened was when the baby woke up in the morning cooing and Emmy stood up in her playpen and said "Baby talkin'......words."
We're still laughing about it:) Maybe we'll try again when the kids are a little older:)

Green Hill Lake Camp- beautiful morning:)

The dam you pass on the way to camp- the water to your left is on level with the road as you drive over that bridge- it's so weird, and kinda frightening...:)

Scott and I took turns taking Emily out on the paddle boats- she just sat there in the seat completely silent and seemingly terrified, then as soon as it was all done she was so excited- "More boat!"
Love this family pic, except Scott was talking at the time- but I still love it!
Our lovely little Emmy playing outside at camp.

Owey- look at those eyes. What a doll:) Already a heartbreaker- Mommy's heart:)
Emmy out in the yard where we love to play:) Love that vest on her- so cute:)
Me and a very prego miranda- she has less than a month left!
Our Family's Laundry. Aww- 4 piles:)

Oh- me and Owey in a photo shoot:) He is so cute it's ridiculous:)
Emmy thought this was so funny:) and cozy.
Emmy in classic form:- the spacesuit pjs, sunglasses and hat.
She is wearing a diaper, I promise.
Look at that face, I think she was singing. She cracks us right up:)

Me and Owen sharing some kisses
Emily "holding" Owen- as you can see, it's really safe.
Emmy loves to push around this stroller outside.
She'll often put her drawings of Tad or Farnklin in it and take them for a ride.
I love this pic- our children playing together. So awesome!!!!
Owey and daddy hangin'

Oops, baby in the laundry again.
Yes, he hugs back. It's awesome.
Bath time is one of my favorite times with Owen- we both love it,
and he smells so good at the end:)
I love this picture- isn't he sweet?
Hi Owey.
Naked!

Such a cute video- Emmy and Owen just hangin' out:)

Here we are at Green Hill Lake Bible Camp,

The Month of May- 2009

This is our new fave Emmy picture:)
Here's Emily discovering puddles, which she calls "tubbies"....
Why have you not showed me these before?!

This picture is mild, but there was some real splashing and stomping going on:)

Ol' Blue Eyes- seriously, he just kills me:)
Sucking on any available fingers- his, Daddy's, mine...
Classic Emily
I love a baby in boots...
Nana Kohler got this dress for Emmy in Disney World
when we were there last Feb and it looks so precious on her!
Sibling Kisses
Emily loves to snuggle at certain times- which we don't like at all:)....
This was a very deliberate learning day- I taught Emily how to husk corn- then she carried the husks out to the compost in a bucket and we learned about the compost turning into dirt for the garden- not that I've used it for that yet...:) It was really cool that she's old enough now to understand so much!

Daddy and Oboe playing on the guitar
Emily visiting some puppies (our friend Shirley just got them) near our house- she was loving them/ scared of them- it was pretty cute:)
Looking dapper out for a walk- love this vest from Mama K
Emily feeding her baby in her room- so cute
I LOVE SPRING!- we love to go outside and play:)
Picnic time
Andrea came to visit recently- Emily calls her "Annie"
This hairband is adorable, but she doesn't keep it in for very long:)

This was a rare thing- Emily was so grggy after a nap that she let Daddy feed her a sippy cup
At Nana and Grandpa's in Halifax for the week of May 17th:
Holding hands:)
Lovins- how different they look to me here!
Cuddles with Papa

Nakeds
Unlce Graeme, whom Emily loves, came to visit!
We also went to visit at Aunt Pat's and got to see Cheryl and Nanny W!
Emily terrorized the cat and Owen was afraid of Cheryl!
Sweet Abigail!
We also went to visit Jen and Graeme and the kids
which was so fun- Emily played with them in their backyard:)
Jen and Blue Eyes

Emily and I playing outside. I was showing her how to put flowers in her hair...

so she tried it...
and put then in her ear!:) hehe

My Owey Joey
Yummy Mummy Fingers

What a face:) When her hair's like this it reminds me of my baby pics a little.
Playing on the floor

Feeding bear while wearing one mitton.
Let me explain these next few pic- Emily has a letter learning video which she watches all the time and the main character is a toddler-aged frog named Tad. She talks about Tad all the time, so recently she said "Mommy- draw-Tad" so I drew a vague likeness of Tad and the other main character of the show- Proff Quigley (she calls him Piggy cuz she can't pronounce it:) on a piece of paper. Well this paper hasn't left her side for 3 days now. She feeds Tad- yes, the drawing- she 'chases' Tad, she looks lovingly at Tad and it is hilarious.
Here she is kissing Tad,
hugging Tad,
Taking Tad for a walk...
and covering him with a blankie.
(See the video at the bottom- it's a riot:)

Smelling the flowers in our garden.
I'm very thankful for the flowers that the pastors before us planted in the garden, they come out on their own every year and they are gorgeous! I've been working to clear out all the weeds and am now putting potting soil in which looks awesome in contrast to the bright flowers!
(you can see where the dark soil ends is where I still need to do)
Here's Emmy and the other half of the garden
Owen's hair was past a mo-hawk and into the crazy scientist stage- so the three of us went to get his hair cut here in McAdam one morning- it was so fun and looks awesome, but I felt sad:(

My little boy looks so handsome:) and a little bit older now:(

Another glimpse of my life at home with the babies- folding laundry, feeding Emily's drawing and holding Owen up with my leg...PS- my bun is not huge- it's just laundry behind me:) hehe
Those are eyes you could fall into!
Awww:)- self timer pics:
What we 3 do when we hang out upstairs- Owen's doing better and better with sitting up.
A Family of Denim- isn't it cute? 4 piles of laundry...

This hilarious relationship with 'Tad' can be well seen here:
