Mom and Dave's Visit and More!

We've had a lot of company lately and emily's been doing some funny things- so we thought it was time for an update!:)

Mom and Dave came to visit for 2 days on their way from FL to Hfx last week and of course Emily got lots of attention from them!:)
Emily and Nana
Trying out some headphones they brought:)

Mine and Tony's Sunday school class (Andrea came later) over for a movie night
(Emily joined us until it was her bedtime:)

Emily loves to read- she will bring a bunch of books over and then come up on the couch to be read to- today she wanted to face me to listen to the story- she is so precious:)
PS-note my big belly:)

We have been so blessed that my friend Buffy from Halifax and her hubby Terry have moved to fredericton- only an hour away- so finally we had them out to our place and it was so great to hang out- and especially to jam with them as we all play something (they both have music degrees:) and sing!

Buffy let Emily try out her violin- and she was fascinated, as was I, when Terry turned his IPhone into a shaker! Who knew it could do so much?- weird...:)
Me- I be jammin'
Oooo- yeah, so I wanted to get a pedicure before the baby came- but I did that early and then had enough saved up get a french manicure, too- woohoo! So fun...:)
Emily put this gift bag on her head and not only did it look so hilarious- like a crown of some kind- but she purposely would pull it down over her eyes and try and walk around, not being able to see...so funny:)
Emily at our once a week Play Group put on by an organization in Fredericton here in McAdam. It's so neat to see how Emily responds to organized activities- she's too young to follow much of the program- but she knows she loves snack time!! Look at her sitting in her chair like a big girl:)
She was sitting on this thing and observing the chaos for like 10 minutes- so cute- she loves ride on toys:)
Sometimes if you give her a pillow and she's tired, she'll just lay right down on it and me and Scott find this so adorable:)
Also funny is what she did with a diaper the other day- (a clean one- no worries:), by making into a bonnet:)

Daddy making an apple pie (he's quite a baker! I'm lucky:) and Emily watching- shortly after this photo she tried to crawl around on the island (she usually knows to stay still when she's up there as a privilege) and was removed from the premesis- and the pie was very, very yummy:)
My newest scrapbook page about Emily's unfortunate incident with a light bulb- I'm really happy with it...the page- not the incident:)

Malcolm, coming to scold me for taking pictures of him
and I just kept taking them- it was really funny:)

My newest scrap pages- this one, "My" is all about my life right now- I thought it wise to take a snapshot of the present to remember in the future- a very different page for me- esp since most of my pages are about Emily!:)
(Again, I'm sorry about the orientation, I just cannot figure it out!)

1 Day in Halifax!

Scott and I came "home" for one day to catch the end of Matt Walsh's ordination, and have an early Thanksgiving with our families. I was able to spend the morning at Starbucks with some of my favorite girls and a new batch of babies I hadn't seen yet!! It was great to catch up with these sweet ladies and hold their new babies! I didn't bring Emily (toddler+chapters=potential disaster), BUT Scott was at Kent next door and so he brought her in to visit us- it was so nice that the girls got to see my precious girl as well- what a great day:), and what a blessing to all be in the same place at the same time to see each other (Thanks to Jordan Allen's wedding:).

The girls at Starbucks
Me, Steph, and Sarah's Benjamin- 6 weeks-ish

Leila Allen (who was here from Calgary- so nice to see her!)
and Steph's Caleb- about 3 months old

Emily Burned Her Hand:( and Some Belly Pics

If you click on the picture to make it bigger, you can see the burn on her hand across her knuckles- she touched a lightbulb by accident with the back of her hand- after cooling it with cold water, we took her to the local hospital to get the blister wrapped and prevent infection.
Our poor baby:(

All ready to go to the hospital past bedtime

"Where am I, out and about in my PJs?"
"Oooooo" (getting special burn ointment)

"What is this?"
Her little hand was wrapped up like a boxer's:)
(Above- Needing some cuddles from Daddy)

"Look at my special hand!"
My poor baby:(
Playing with her "boxer" hand:)

Straight hair for a day and my belly at 32 weeks- only 8 weeks to go!!
(Sorry that my shirt doesn't cover and my maternity pants are falling down- welcome to pregnancy-hehe:)

Happy Couple:)

On the way home Scott took this video of Emmy and her hand- and her animal sounds:)- which you should feel privileged to see and hear cuz she doesn't always do these things on command!:)
